Erase stretchmarks once and for all

Stretchmarks are a side effect of deficiency. They are not meant to ever be expected or ‘normal’ – they are a sign that your body is lacking in a number of minerals, resulting in loss of integrity of connective tissue, causing collapse of the usual structure holding your skin together, keeping it supple and smooth.

It is not part of gaining weight – unless you are eating a very poor diet. It is not part of pregnancy – unless you are deficient in minerals. And that means your baby is also likely to be deficient in the same minerals once he/she has used up your stores.

They can appear almost anywhere on the body and clinically I have seen them all – neck, shoulders, back, hips, breasts, belly, thighs, buttocks, knees, calves, arms – any skin area that tends to stretch with growth. They can be unsightly and often ruin confidence.

There are other tell-tale signs – white spots on your nails, dry hair, brittle or thin nails, loosened teeth. Eventually if not addressed, it affects bone strength/mineralisation.

The main mineral involved is zinc but as with any deficiency, it is accompanied by the domino-like effect of general imbalance. One deficiency leads to another. Eventually once your body is no longer able to assimilate in a balanced manner, even eating nutrient rich foods often does not work. One of the worst treatments I have heard of is the use of calcium supplementation which only throws out imbalance

So, how do you fix it? Throwing a ton of hair/skin/nail type supplements does not do much at all. You must address the cause of the imbalance in the first place. If your diet has consisted of high amounts of carbs and gluten, sugar, additives, dairy and all irritating/inflaming type foods, your guy has lost its ability to assimilate nutrients.

Take your body from a ‘collapsed tissue’ state to healthy, vital and youthful, no matter what age. The redder the stretch marks, the more acute the deficiency and tearing of the skin. The good news is that it is most definitely reversible. The end result is that you are barely able to see the previous damage. I have personally and professionally seen the effects of stretch marks being successfully treated.

The thing to remember is that even a zinc deficiency (which is accompanied usually by silica deficiency) can have knock-on effects to other parts of the body. The longer this is left to continue, the more damage and weakness of connective tissue develops.

There is no need to ‘wear your scars with pride’ – not when you can remove them! As someone who not only had twins but put on over 35kgs during pregnancy, I am living proof that stretch marks do not have to happen. I was aware of the causes and managed to address them early on but even so, genetically I should have stretch marks. Final note – it is not instant but it is do-able!
